Hi Ladies

I thought I should explain my role a little and what I need of you as Team Captains and Members of the Club.

I've attached a procedure flowchart* which tells you what to do if:

1) you should notice anything of concern regarding a Junior (whether it appears to be out with or within hockey)

2) you should notice anything of concern regarding a Senior interacting with a Junior

Concerns can include:

changes in behaviour around a particular adult

bruising or unusual injuries or signs of physical abuse

verbal abuse

text bullying

bullying by other juniors or seniors etc...

I've highlighted in Orange what you do... the rest of the flowchart is my responsibility, but it shows you what would happen next should anything arise.

Of course not everything would get as far as social services etc. So please don't be scared if you notice something but don't want it to blow out of control. Just keep a record of the instances and let me know immediately either by phone or email. Although email is better for record keeping. I will gather the information, may even turn up to observe if necessary, and report to Allan Ramsay (The overall Club CPO). Then we will decide on the best course of action if any is required.

I hope that helps!

Cheers

Ros
