With the ladies side having no season match this weekend, the girls started off training with a good fitness session of sprinting and change of direction drills which lead into the theme of training.
This then lead into a skills circuit working on jinks, turns and dragging. Once the basic skills were started to get executed well from the skills circuit, the group turned to a larger drill work on change of direction leads, turns and shots on goal.
Training finished off with a competitive indoor rules match and half court basketball. These games focused on leading, passing and rolling out.
Mairead was a standout in the fitness drills, showing her strength of pace and push off over a small period of pace.
The ladies are looking at having a trial match on Sunday against the boys to try and work on a few positional roles.
